One worry is that if left untreated, yeast infections can develop into a medical condition called sepsis which is a blood bacterial infection. This can be deadly.
It can also be passed on to others like your girlfriend through physical contact or through sharing towels etc.
If you are anything like me though, you will probably leave it untreated for years and years. This is so typical males (especially New Zealand men). But, look after yourself. Don't put up with it and don't think you are more of a man for putting up with it. A real man will get it treated quickly.
